Elevate your Thanksgiving dinner table with 3 easy tricks

And because #2020, it’s time to make the Thanksgiving dinner table a little bougie to really celebrate all we’ve overcome this year.  So break out the china and set the table to honor this special day.

Getting dressed up and making our gathering a polished party lifts our spirits.  We deserve a little pomp and circumstance.  We have so much to celebrate, let’s do it up right.

Here’s how to make your turkey dinner table styled with ease: Start with a pretty table setting.

Everyday dishes upgrade.

To get that Pinterest worthy tablesetting you need to accessorize your dishware.

A placemat or charger, layered with your dishware.  This doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. But some quick additions to layer with your basic dishes will elevate your table setting.

In other words, you can elevate your everyday dishes with some extra accessories. These touches will give you a styled dinner table that Joanna Gaines would be proud of.

Napkins matter.

Yes, linen napkins are a little fancy, but they area also a classic dinner party investment, and can be used over and over again.

You have a couple of setting options here. My go-to ways would be folded and tucked between the plate and the charger, OR folded on top of the plate. Similarly, I have noticed a new trend in tying the napkin with a knot in the middle too.

{Here are some of my favorite napkins + chargers because they can be dressed up or down for any dinner party.}

Don’t forget the Centerpiece décor.

Down the center of the Thanksgiving dinner table, drape a neutral table runner.

This neutral option is a classic + affordable investment piece for future events}  After that, layer on some basic greenery like magnolia or olive leaf garlands on top of the runner gives the table some life.

One last step is to sprinkle some themed accessories. For Thanksgiving, think small pumpkins and gourds.

To really make this table pop, add tall candlesticks to give dimension.

And now you’ve got a magazine-worthy holiday table.

And let’s be honest, we want to have the magazine worthy tablescape, and none of those editorials have disposable napkins.
